Are you supposed to receive letter stating stimulus payment amount prior to getting DD?
I received the letter in March stating that I may be eligible for the stimulus rebate. However, I have also read that you would receive a letter from the IRS stating payment date and amount of the stimulus payment. Has anyone who are receiving DD get a letter showing the payment date and amount?

There will be a letter stating what your stimulus payment is. Those letters have not been sent. You need to keep that letter for next year's tax return.

The confirmation letters will be out in the next few weeks. The IRS was trying to be nice and get the money out sooner.

That was the initial plan. But in the rush to get the payments out, that letter seems to have gotten delayed.

That was the original intent, however there are individuals receiving direct deposit and have not received correspondances.

I received my stimulus "check" as a direct deposit. My wife is a "homemaker" and we have two children, though my rebate was only 1200.00. WE too were expecting 1800.00. I am unsure about whether or not she will be paid (non-working), or if they will send another three 600.00 when her number comes up. Either way we are waiting for the letter so we can ask the gov. Has anyone who does not have a working spouse received the entire 1200.00??
