I received the letter stating my amount I should receive. went to the IRS stimulus tracker and got a message saying"we cannot tell you anything about your stimulus payment" I am due to recieve it this week. what does this statement mean?

Why is there no information about how the IRS is releasing the Stimulus checks since the mess-up?

I have 3 friends that have received their checks by the first 3 digits of their Social Security number, but there is still no information online about the schedule. I would imagine they are keeping it under wraps so con artists and the like will not be able to produce forgeries. So sit [...]
