Do I get the IRS stimulus payment for my other kids?

If I didn't claim my older kids ages 11 and 9 on my 2007 return (only because they lived with their father until August 07) will I still get the stimulus payment for them also if I'd be claiming them on my 2008 return?

Sorry, but no. The father will get it if he is the one who is claiming them as dependents. The stimulus payment is based only on the 2007 return.

Nope, everything is based on your 2007 return

I think only the person who claimed them on the 2007 return will get the rebate

No you won't get stimulus rebates for kids you did not claim on your tax return.

    Probably not, he'll get them.
However, there is some adjustment mechanism on the 2008 return. To be determined.
