Does anyone have a real answer as to when we will recieve our IRS stimulus rebate checks?

2008 tax relief stimulus checks - I've now heard at least 3 or 4 different dates that the government will be sending out these rebate checks. The latest info I heard was on the radio this morning and they said that May 9th would be the day for those who filed electronically. Sometime in June will be the date for those who did not file electronically. I could really use the money and I wondered if anyone actually knew the truth about when to expect the payment.

It depends on whether you received your refund (if you got one) by paper check or by direct deposit, and also on what the last two digits of your SSN are:

If you filed electronically, you should have it between 5/2-5/16. If you got a check refund, it goes by the last 2 digits of your soc #, starting 5/23 I think - google "tax stimulus check schedule" - you'll find a link that has the schedule

If you provided bank routing information on your return, you will get direct deposit. Otherwise, you will get a paper check. The scheduled dates for deposits or check mailings depend on the last two digits of your Social Security number. Details are given on the IRS web site shown below.

Determine whether you're getting a direct deposit refund or a paper check. Then reference your last 2 digits of your social security number. Next to it is when the stimulus payment should be sent by.

    DIRECT DEPOSIT
    Payment will be transmitted:
    00 through 20 May 2
    21 through 75 May 9
    76 through 99 May 16

    PAPER CHECK
    Payments will be mailed by:
    00 through 09 May 16
    10 through 18 May 23
    19 through 25 May 30
    26 through 38 June 6
    39 through 51 June 13
    52 through 63 June 20
    64 through 75 June 27
    76 through 87 July 4
    88 through 99 July 11

irs.gov website has a rebate calendar. It depends on the last two numbers of your social security number, etc.
