Why are so many republican senators willing to vote for Obama stimulus package?
a lot of repub senators say the Obama stimulus package is good and they will vote for it. Why?
The stimulus package is horrible and will do nothing to fix economy. After few months if things get economically worse, don't be surprised. When the stimulus fails, there is no second chance. Its all over.

I have only heard of 3 republicans that are willing to vote for it, Arlen Spector and the Senators from Maine. That was only after they have had at least 17 amendments to the bill and the cost was cut by around 100 billion.

They are voting for it because they know a lot more about what the expert economists are saying about the stimulus package than you do.

The republicans are virtually powerless and if they do vote for it they just ended their future career. The Obama (what a waste of votes!) package will fail no question about it. I hope that Obama (what a waste of votes!) will resign or get impeached before he can do anymore damage to our Country (this is not his country). Obama (what a waste of votes!) plan to destroy America from the day he opened his mouth to campaign, Right now I hope Obama (what a waste of votes!) does walk away alive, but the longer he stays in office the more he will cripple and hurt America and then I will be hoping Obama (what a waste of votes!) is removed from office by whatever it takes.

get your facts straight, there are only 2, and the only reason that they have said that its ready is because they are two of the most liberal republicans in the senate and they met behind closed doors with the democrats (translation they were bullied into agreeing)

There was a group of moderate Republican Senators who TRIED to negotiate with Senate Democrats but found it impossible.
They walked.
The bill is still full of crap that won't create jobs, expands government, and explodes the debt which will cause massive inflation and harm America.
As Sen. Lindsey Graham said, "This bill STINKS."
There are probably only Republican TWO Senators who will vote for it.
Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine.
Nobody can figure out what's wrong with their brains.
Maybe Sen. Arlen Specter of PA.

Even if Obama gets 3 votes from the GOP, that's only ONE PERCENT of the Republicans.
Hardly anything he can call "bi-partisan."
Obama now OWNS the recessions, Depression he will cause, the huge DEBT, the rising unemployment, the anger of the American people, and DEFICITS as far as the eye can see.
If he thought that we were headed for a "catastrophe" if this did not pass,
just wait until he sees the CATASTROPHE he has CREATED.

They aren't. There aren't that many last I checked. And if they are, they fell for the intimidation tactics Obama used at the retreat. Weenies. Plain and simple.
