There were some people who didn’t receive the full amount of the stimulus payment they were entitled to. They are allowed to file and receive a second check for the missing balance.

Highly doubtful. And, when you go to do your 2008 taxes, you have to pay tax on the first stimulus check. Imagine if you were to get 2 checks for $600 each. Then when you went to file taxes, having to owe the gov’t money on $1200.

There are some people who received a second payment in error, and some people who did not get money for qualifying children will receive a second one. Nothing has been decided for a second check otherwise that i know of.

I heard that Secretary Paulson hinted at it. I know most people would like this check. I would like it too, but I really hope for the sake of this country that they do not send it. We are not running a surplus. So the money would have to be borrowed (from China most likely) to send us our stimulus check.

we all should have gotten a 5500 dollar stimulus check, dollar was at its weakest when we got those checks

i think the stimulus checks were so we would not throw bush in prison next year when he leaves office. Throw people a bunch of money and it leaves a good impression on them. It is also to the benefit to the Republican party and might be why Mclame is doing so well. All it basically did is drive up the deficit that much higher
